Roberta A. (Akin) Dyer

Roberta “Robbie” A. Dyer, a native of CA and a resident of Endicott NY, passed away from cancer on 3/13/2017. She was a loving mother and fierce friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Eldon Akin and her sister Vicky Lynne and brother Charles.  She is survived by her 2 children, Leann and Jason Dyer and her brother Walter Akin.  She will be so very missed by her family friends and coworkers. Giving back to the community was important to her.  She left electronics manufacturing for a time to work with young mothers early in drug and alcohol recovery, teaching parenting skills and helping them regain custody of their children.  She lived her life with a warm heart, home, and sense of humor. A legacy her friends and family will carry forward in her honor. A Memorial Service will held at the Ernest H. Parsons Funeral Home, 71 Main St Binghamton, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Friday March 24, 2017.
