I was so saddened to hear about the sudden loss of someone whom meant so much to so many- especially me. I first met Lucas at the County Clerks office over 30 years ago and had countless fun conversations with Lucas. Discussions went from political, historical, genealogical, church, family, health, money and investing- you name it- Lucas was just plain fun to talk to and he was a deep well of knowledge! I loved giving him a hard time and he would give it right back to me! Last Christmas he sent me a card with his phone number after he retired and noted "not that you are going to call me" (always giving me a hard time! )- I did in fact call him at home - I'm just sad I wasn't in touch with him recently. I was trying to help him with family genealogy and I have some of the family info / addresses he had given me if the family would like it...(my email has been left and I'm in the phone book). I never went into the Clerks without speaking to Lucas and he was someone I looked forward to seeing. My deep sympathies to his family and church family....goodbye old friend...you will be deeply missed.

Lucas was always a caring and giving person. He will be missed by so many.
