Maureen Szajna Obituary

Maureen P. Szajna (Severo), 89, from Binghamton, NY, went to be with the Lord on May 15th, 2018 at her home after battling a long illness. She was predeceased by her Father, Frank Emil Severo; her Mother, Lucy (Martone) Severo; her brother, James Severo; her husband, John Robert Szajna, Jr.; her son, John Thaddeus Szajna; as well as other relatives. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Rae Szajna, Binghamton, NY; her daughter, Luann Marie Szajna, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and her son, James Michael Szajna, Davie, Florida, as well as extended family, relatives and friends. Maureen was a devoted wife and mother. She always had a warm interest in others, offering encouragement and guidance when needed. At age 55 she attended Broome Community College, and was an inspiration to many; spreading love, light and laughter to those in her presence. Family and friends are invited to call Thursday May 24th 2018, from 8:30 to 9:30 am at Saint Mary of The Assumption Church, 37 Fayette Street, Binghamton, NY, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am.
