Alice (Poplarchick) Mizerak

Alice Mizerak, 84 of Endwell, passed away Monday, May 6th 2013 after an extended illness. Born January 6th, 1929 in Archbald, PA, Alice was the daughter of the late Alex and Pauline Poplarchick. Alice was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, and her granddaughter, Kelsey Mizerak. Alice was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Endicott, N.Y.

Alice was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all.
Alice held various administrative positions with Sears Roebuck and Stickley Siver in addition to her full time job as homemaker. She enjoyed preparing Polish cuisine and listening to Polka music. Alice also enjoyed baking, shopping and vacationing at the Jersey shore with her family. She took pleasure in attending all of her son’s sporting events over the years and was their biggest fan.

Alice is survived by her  five sons: Ron (Marge) Mizerak, Ellicott City, MD., Jim (Barb) Mizerak, Endwell, Bill (Kerri) Mizerak, Manassas, VA., Joe (Karen) Mizerak, Charlotte, N.C., and Jack (Eileen) Mizerak, Binghamton; also her nine grandchildren, Terri, Susan, Alexis, Gabrielle, Jamie, Christopher, Maddie, Courtney and Caitlin. Alice is also survived by her sister Marie (Paul) Caffrey, Endicott, brother Thomas Poplarchick, Peckville, PA, sister-in-laws Mary Rose Poplarchick, Duryea, PA and Lucille Petrasko, Peckville, PA; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Ideal Living Center for the many years of kind and compassionate care that they provided to Alice.
