Alyce Griffiths Launt passed away Thursday September 12, 2013 at the Good Shepherd Fairview Home Nursing Facility. Born February 20, 1924, in Johnson City NY, the daughter of the late Irene (Scott) and Hiram Griffiths and loving wife of the late Herbert K. Launt.
Alyce graduated from Johnson City High School., and continued her education with Business School. After her marriage to Herbert they lived in Cortland for twenty years before returning to the Triple Cities. She retired as an administrative assistant for the Director of Nursing at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Alyce was a long time member of the Monday Afternoon Club.
Surviving Alyce are her son and daughter in law, Scott and Becky Launt, of Liverpool, NY, her granddaughters; Robyn Launt, Syracuse, NY, Amy (Jonathan) Fuchs, Oneida, NY and Emily Launt, of Syracuse, NY, her great grandson Everett Fuchs, as well as several nieces and nephews.
