Brianna Joyce Sheppard, 31, of Endicott, New York, passed away suddenly on April 30, 2022.
Brianna was born on May 17, 1990, to Amy Feinberg Sheppard and Paul Sheppard, in Binghamton, New York. Along with her brothers, Michael Sheppard and Kyle Sheppard, whom she adored, Brianna grew up in the Town of Maine, and attended Maine-Endwell schools before graduating from Binghamton High School in 2008.
An outstanding athlete, Brianna played varsity soccer, basketball and softball for M-E and Binghamton. Over the years, she was a proud member of various highly-competitive travel teams. After graduating from high school, Brianna played softball for Tompkins-Cortland Community College, was a member of the 2009 NJCAA National Championship team, and was named the national tournament MVP. She subsequently graduated from Broome Community College and then earned her B.A. in English at Binghamton University.
After college, Brianna utilized her talents as a writer and artist to develop expertise as a social media marketing specialist. Since 2018, she has been the Social Media Director for both the Tioga Downs Casino Resort and Vernon Downs Casino Hotel. Brianna loved her job, excelled in her position, and devoted countless hours to marketing, branding and elevating the social media presence of the casinos. Her dedication and professionalism were continuously recognized by management and the owner.
Brianna was sensitive, caring and generous. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could light up a room with her smile. In particular, she adored and was loved by her dog and constant companion, Griff.
Brianna was predeceased by her younger cousin, Joshua Helm; her uncle, Thomas G. Sheppard; her paternal grandfather, Thomas C. Sheppard; and her maternal grandparents, Joyce Feinberg (her namesake) and Phillip “Poppy” Feinberg, whose loss had a lasting impact on her.
Brianna is survived by her mother Amy Sheppard, and her longtime partner Tony Frontera, of Binghamton, New York; her father Paul Sheppard, and his fiancé Steffie Ingalls, of Endwell, New York; her brother Michael Sheppard, his wife Mona Chaudhry, and Brianna’s niece, Naya, of Charlottesville, Virginia; her brother Kyle Sheppard, and his partner Megan Nieto, of Washington, D.C.; her grandmother Jean Sheppard, of Lindenhurst, New York, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and step-siblings.
Calling hours will be held at E.H. Parsons Funeral Home, 71 Main St., Binghamton, on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. A private burial service will take place at the Temple Israel Riverside Cemetery in Conklin, New York, on Thursday, May 5, 2022.
