Carol Sue (Zebrosky) Lieberum
Carol Sue Lieberum passed away early in the morning of June 24, 2016 at Lourdes Hospital.
Carol was born in Richmondale, PA. on August 29, 1944.  She started her life in Forest City, PA then came to the eastside of Binghamton, NY as a young child.
Growing up in Binghamton in the 1950's and 60's left an indelible impression and many wonderful memories of that time, which included "The Pig Stand" and the Cameo Theater. She would often talk about both and laugh when she recounted going to the movies, watching sci-fi movies, then being too scared to walk back to English Street, but it happened with regularity!
After graduating from Binghamton North in 1962, she began work at WBNG (radio) on Front Street and she would talk about the activity around the newsroom.  She also worked at Broome Community College and was a sales rep for Queensway.  Though poor health limited her at times physically, it did not stop her determination.
In 1969 while with friends, she met Rex Lieberum Jr. who proposed to her after only 6 months of dating.  They were married in September of 1969 and were together until today.  In 1972 they had a son, Jim of whom she was very proud.
Carol enjoyed gardening and truly had a green thumb.  Many people benefited from the flowers, herbs and spices that she grew and gave away.  She freely provided plants and knowledge to anyone who requested or needed it.  She was an animal lover and over the years helped to raise many cats, dogs, birds, rabbits and even chickens.
Carol had many hobbies throughout her lifetime which included ceramics, playing the guitar, needlework, watching crime and cooking shows and also becoming totally frustrated with the New York Yankees and New York Giants whenever they lost.  She was also a rock and roll oldies fan and sang songs of that era frequently, especially Elvis.
Carol had a funny sense of humor and when something really made her laugh, she would break down in tears.  A family favorite was when she tried to pronounce any Hispanic food.  Even she realized that she would have starved in Spain or Mexico when ordering fajitas, but it coming out as "fachoo-chi's"!
Carol was a wonderful wife and mother.  She was kind, caring, supportive and compassionate.  She was also principled and held to her beliefs strongly and loved the Catholic faith for her entire life.
She was predeceased by her father, Charles Sr., and mother Anna. Left to cherish her memories are her husband Rex, son Jim and daughter in law Bridget, a brother Charles(Bonnie) Zebrosky, a sister Mary Anne Mohapp, sister in law Judy Bennett, nephews Carl, Scott, Brandon, Damian and Kristian and nieces Marie and Teresa.

Though she had many animals while living in North Fenton, two in particular brought significant joy and happiness to her life - Buck, a Redbone Coonhound and Tucker, a Mountain Cur.
