Johnson City: Emil Bruno Rauch, 93, of Johnson City, passed away Saturday October 13, 2012. Born March 19, 1919 in Roemerstadt in what is now Czechoslovakia, the son of the Late Franziska (Komanek) and Bruno Rauch. Emil grew up in Czechoslovakia, moving later to Regensburg in Bavaria in southern Germany. He emigrated to the U.S. after WWII with his wife Erika, in 1954, lived initially in St Louis, MO, later moved to Binghamton in 1955, and later Port Dickinson, where he lived until 2009. Emil was devoted to his work at Ansco (later GAF, then Anitec). In his little free time he enjoyed attending the symphony and opera with his wife. He was also a master barbeque chef. Emil is predeceased by his wife Erika who died in March of 2012. He is survived by his two daughters, Michele Landers, her husband Kenneth and her two children, Paul and Amy and Annette Rauch and her two children, Sean and Melissa as well as various relatives in Germany.
