Eugene Law Pierson, 93 who has resided the last several months at Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home in Troy, NY, passed away September 18th, 2010.
Born September 4th, 1917 in Scranton, PA. the son of the Late Ruth Klingle.
Eugene graduated from Johnson School, in Scranton, in 1936. He married Eleanor (Lobley) Pierson, also from Scranton. They recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. They resided in Scranton until 1964 when they moved to Conklin, NY.
Eugene was a member of Tabernacle Methodist church for 40 years. Eugene was also a member of the Masonic Order and the Irem TempleShiners. He worked as Tool and Die Engineer and was a VP of Southern Tier Plastics of Binghamton, NY. Eugene enjoyed traveling with friends and was an avid bird and duck carver.
Surviving him are his two children: Eugene (Carol) Pierson Jr. of Peckville, PA and Constance Clinton of Albany, NY also ; five grandchildren, Jason and Tiffany of Albany, NY and Mark, Marla, & Meredith of Peckville, PA and six great grand children.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 29th , 2010 at 12:00 p.m. with an hour of visitation at 11:00 a.m. at the Ernest H. Parsons Funeral Home, Inc. 71 Main Street, Binghamton NY . Please visit ParsonsFuneral.com to sign the book of condolence.
