Born September 14, 1947, in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Elizabeth (Oelkers) and Gordon Palmer.

Gregory was a graduate of Windsor High School, where he enjoyed all the events of Track and Field. He worked as a refrigeration technician in Vestal. Music was the love of Gregory’s life, from forming his own band “The Aristocrats” with Mark, Lefty and Geoffrey.  They featured all Gregory’s favorites artists; The Beatles, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, the sounds of the 60’s, Rock and Roll and anything bassy. Gregory was best known in the music world for his “Beatles Bass” style. Along with his music, he loved the first new car he ever purchased ; a 1964 Cyclone. He will be remembered by his family as the Best Big Brother, very protective, very caring, the summer jobs working at the furniture store, his wonderful sense of humor and his very thoughtful Christmas gifts.
Surviving Gregory are his brothers and sisters; Geoff (JoAnn) Palmer, of Winsdor, Gordon (Cindy) Palmer, of Vestal and Madeleine (Mick) Winjum, of Texas, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
