Hershey S. Rozen

Hershey S. Rozen, 70, of Vestal passed away on March 13th, 2015 after a courageous two month battle with lung cancer. He is predeceased by his month and father Martha and Irving Rozen. He is survived by his beloved wife Bonnie of 34 years; daughters Rachel, Brittany and Arielle; Brother Barry (Joan) and Niece Courtney; Sister Cynthia Wilkenfeld and many beloved extended family and friends. Hershey worked for many years in the scrap metal recycling business as the owner of I. Rozen's Son. In 1995, he started Rozen's Drain & Sewer Service, where he dedicated his time until the very end. He was a devoted husband and father, who always wanted the best for his girls. Hershey had a sincere care for others, and he took great interest in learning about you. And if he liked you, you knew it! He made many friends wherever he went, including Xtra Mart, Sam's Club, M&T bank, and all of his drain job clients. He loved to watch Syracuse Men's basketball and NY Mets games with his daughters, and he always kept a watchful eye on the weather for them. Hershey enjoyed taking Bonnie out to eat at the Vestal Diner and Amici's where he was more apart of the family than a patron. A special thank you to Lisa Stank and Joan for their loving care. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 16th at 12pm at Ernest H. Parson's Funeral Home 71 Main Street Binghamton with a burial service to follow at Temple Israel Cemetery on Conklin Road in Binghamton. Immediately following services the family will be sitting Shiva in their home on Monday, Tuesday-Thursday from 1-4pm and 6-9pm, and Friday 1-4pm.
