Irving S. Bennett, died Thursday May 20th, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Bernice Bennett, Binghamton; his children, Diane (John) Hollenbeck, Binghamton; Sharon (Steve) White, Palm Bay, Fla; Reid (Terry ) Bennett, Albuquerque, New Mexico; his grandchildren; Haley and Luke Woods, Alameda Calif; Geoff Bennett, Albuquerque, NM; Justin Dotey, Portland Maine; Michael Harris, Johnson City; and a great grandchild, Piper Harris.
Irving served as a Sergeant in the US Army during World War II landing in France on D-Day. He was awarded an American Defense Service Bronze Star Medal in 1945, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Bronze Arrowhead Good Conduct Medal in 1943. After the war Irving worked and retired with 32 years of service at IBM Corp .in Endicott.
