Irving M. Burglass

Irving M. Burglass, 96, of South Orange, New Jersey, formerly of Boca Raton, Florida, and originally from Binghamton, New York, died on Wednesday, October 5.

He was born in Far Rockaway, New York, and grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana.  He is pre-deceased by his loving sister, Rae Antis and brother, Nathan Burglass, and was the beloved husband of Florence Dorothy Horowitz Burglass for 68 years.  

He is survived by his beloved wife, Florence, 96, of West Orange, New Jersey, son, Stuart, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Brant Isaacoff, of Manalapan, New Jersey, Jane and David Freinberg of Maplewood, New Jersey, four beloved grandchildren, Lauren and Marli Isaacoff, and Jonathan and Caroline Freinberg, and his dear niece and nephew, Barbara Levingston and Jay Antis.  

Irving was a Captain in the Army stationed in Cheyenne, Wyoming during World War II.  He was a former member of Temple Israel in Binghamton, New York and Temple Beth-El in Boca Raton, Florida.  Irving and Florence were the owners of Berger's Ski Shop in Binghamton for over 30 years.  

The funeral will be held on Monday, October 11 at 10  a.m. at Temple Israel. Internment will follow at Temple Israel Cemetery in Conklin.
