Isabelle Levene

Isabelle S. Levene, longtime Binghamton resident, died Friday in Atlanta, where she had been living for the past three years. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 7, at 10:30 at Parsons Funeral Home in Binghamton.

Her family and faith were the pillars of her life. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren, and became a great-grandmother last year. Together with her husband, Joseph, who predeceased her, they were actively engaged in the local Jewish community, where they each assumed leadership roles in several organizations. These included: the Jewish Federation of Broome County, the Jewish Community Center, Hadassah, and State of Israel Bonds. They were also members of Temple Israel for more than 50 years. She is survived by her sons, Stephen and Louis. Her extended family includes daughters-in-law Joan and Elyse, grandsons David, Michael and Jacob, granddaughter-in-law Tiffany and great granddaughter, Hannah Louise.
