James Burton Robinson

James Burton Robinson, 85, of Binghamton, NY, passed away Sunday morning December 5, 2021 at Absolut Center for Nursing in Endicott, NY.  James was born on October 31, 1936 in Kirkwood, NY to Burton and Matilda (Swartz) Robinson.

James is a graduate of Binghamton North High School and Broome Tech College in Binghamton, NY

He retired from Doron Precision Systems, Inc where he worked for 23 years as a Mechanical Support Engineer.

He enjoyed his daily walks through the Westside of Binghamton along with hiking the many NYS parks.  Jim loved playing cards, Rummy being his favorite and completing puzzles during the winter months.  His passion was woodworking.  He thoroughly enjoyed taking a raw piece of wood to make it into so many crafty and useful items for his family such as fun holiday decorations, clever puzzles along with some beautiful tables. 

He is survived by his partner, Ellen Frisbie of 27 years, daughter Amy Doyle and son David Robinson with wife Wendy.  He had two grandchildren, Ashley & Nicolas Doyle.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Burton & Matilda Robinson, along with a sister Barbara and a brother Richard.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday December 10, 2021 at Vestal Hills Chapel at Noon.  After the service, the family will receive family & friends at the Wine Cellar Tavern 100 Rano Blvd, Vestal, NY.  In lieu of Flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
