John R. Kilmer, Sr. passed away June 28, 2012 after a long illness. Born December 4, 1939 in the town of Binghamton, the son of the late Lillian and Roy Kilmer.
John worked as a meat manager for the Giant markets for over thirty five years. He loved to fish ,hunt, watch John Wayne movies, and family picnics. His greatest joy was his family. He truly loved Christmas, especially decorating the huge tree, and the Christmas buffet.
John is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Kathryn (Foster) Kilmer at home, his seven children: Loretta and Mike Wade, Becky and Dan Daye, John Kilmer, Jr. Eric Kilmer, Derrick and Donna Kilmer, Kelly and Mark Rockwell, and Chad and Amy Kilmer, 19 grandchildren and, 9 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Mayble Kilmer many extended family and friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to the Nurses and Staff at the Dialysis Unit on Park Avenue for the wonderful care given to John.
