Light, Laurie A.

Laurie A. Light, 57, of Vestal, passed away April 24, 2022. She was predeceased by her father, Richard M. Potter; and her brother, James Potter. She is survived by her husband, George; her daughter, Makayla; her mother, Faye Potter; her sister, brother-in-law, and brother, Rebecca and Michael Dunlop and Richard Potter; many nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; innumerable friends; and her dog, Lizzie. Laurie was someone always willing to lend a helping hand, regardless of scenario or convenience and believed that life was best lived in the simplest of ways, surrounded by family, friends, and a cold beer. The family invite those wishing to honor her memory to a Celebration of Life, held at the Vestal Elks Lodge #2508, 2071 Vestal Parkway West, on Saturday May 14th, starting at 1 pm. Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the Broome County Dog Shelter, Cutler Pond Rd., Binghamton.
