Louise Abel Zuckerman, 98, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the Hilltop Campus of United Methodist Homes. A native of Yonkers, NY, she made Binghamton her home since 1991. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Michael and Jane Zuckerman, her grandchildren John (Robin) Zuckerman, Caroline (Richard) Petersen, and Richard (Tracy) Zuckerman, and her great grandchildren Ethan, Toby and Larkin Petersen and Madeleine and Caleb Zuckerman. She was employed as the executive secretary of the Auto Parts Distributors Association in New York for many years and loved to travel, attend arts events, read, and spend time with her family. She will be greatly missed by them. The family gives special thanks to the second floor staff of James G. Johnson at Hilltop for their wonderful care. At her request, there will be no service. The family will receive friends at their home at 15 Chapin St., Binghamton on Friday, December 21 from 3:30-5 pm and Saturday, December 22 from 6 -9 pm. Those wishing to make memorial contributions can do so to a charity of their choice. Arrangements are with the Ernest H. Parsons 71 Main Street, Binghamton NY .
