Mildred A. (Yesko) Rock

Mildred Ann Rock, age 87, formerly of 65 High St., Johnson City N.Y., passed away on Thursday March 1, 2012 at United Methodist James G. Johnston Nursing Home in Johnson City, N.Y.

Born December 4th, 1924 in Miners Mills, Pennsylvania, Millie was the daughter of Michael Yesko and Nettie (Hutz) Yesko.   She attended Coughlin High School in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania and on September 2nd, 1950 married Walter Rock.

Millie worked in the dietary department of Wilson Hospital from 1970 until her retirement.  She was a long time member of Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church in Binghamton.

She is pre-deceased by her husband Walter and son John (Jack).  She is survived by her grandson, Thomas Paul Rock, her sister, Mary Verbitski, Philadelphia, PA, her niece, Maryellen Fegely and her husband Len Fegely, Worcester, PA.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 6th  with Panachida at the funeral home at  10:00 a.m. and at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church, Clinton St. Binghamton, N.Y.  An hour of visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Ernest H.
