Miriam E. “Mimi” Aronowitz, 95, cherished wife, mother, and everybody’s grandmother, passed away on March 16th at Robert Packer Hospital. Mrs. Aronowitz, a retired teacher, was predeceased by her beloved husband of nearly 42 years, Stanley D. Aronowitz. She is survived by her sisters Roberta Robbins and Sue Karp (Eugene Karp) Florida; daughter Karen Hammer, Apalachin; son, Kenneth Aronowitz (Hinda Diamond), Honolulu, Hawaii; treasured grandchildren, Sarah Jane Hammer (Jonathan Yard) Horseheads, and Kelvin and Jennie Aronowitz, Honolulu; and by several nieces, a nephew and their families. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 20th at 10:30 a.m. with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Ernest H. Parsons Funeral Home, Binghamton, followed by a graveside service and burial at West Lawn Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will sit Shiva Sunday, Monday, Tuesday evenings. Mimi’s family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to the staff at Castle Gardens, Sayre Area Health Center, and Robert Packer Hospital for their care and support.
