Obituary for Muriel Feinberg Rozen
May 28, 1927 – September 3, 2013


Muriel Feinberg Rozen died peacefully on September 3, 2013 in Scottsdale, Arizona at the age of 86.  Rabbi Tziona Szajman officiated at her funeral on September 8.

Muriel was the daughter of Maurice and Rose Feinberg of Malden, Massachusetts.  She loved her large Bostonian family, but left there to marry Hillard H. Rozen and join his family in Binghamton in 1945.  She and Hillard were married for 64 years until her husband’s death in 2009.  After his passing, Muriel, moved to Scottsdale to be near her son Craig and daughter-in-law, Martha Rozen.

Muriel’s greatest joy in life came from her family and close friends.  She and Hillard had three children and are survived by the following: Linda Rozen Twichell and husband Jon Twichell of Los Angeles, and their children Olubayo Evans and Benjamin Twichell; Shari Rozen of Santa Cruz; and Craig Rozen and wife, Martha, of Scottsdale, and their children Matthew Rozen and wife, Shaina, Michael Rozen, and Andrew Rozen and wife Mandy.

Muriel is also survived by brother-in-law Hersh Rozen and his wife, Beverly, and sister-in-law Roselyn (Roz) Rosenbaum, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.  One of her Bostonian cousins reminisces, “We will always remember Muriel as soft spoken, generous to all, dedicated to family, and ready to share her joy through her sweet giggle.”
