Neil Petrovsky, 71 of Conklin, passed away on March 29 after a prolonged illness. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Margaret Petrovsky and his brother Joe Petrovsky. Neil is survived by his loving sister Paula Turrell (Ron), his son Norm Bergmann (Jessica) and his granddaughter Charlotte. Neil graduated from North High in 1970 and worked as a mechanic at Eddie's Radiator for many years afterwards. As a younger man he raced stock cars and played softball and pickup football. Neil spent five years getting up at the crack of dawn every day to drive Norm around to deliver newspapers and he had a brief stint as a Babe Ruth baseball coach when no one else wanted to coach Norm's team. More recently, the most important thing to Neil was the light of his life, his granddaughter Charlotte. Neil was laid to rest at Vestal Hills Cemetery in a private ceremony on April 4th. A Celebration of Neil's life will be held on April 23rd, 1pm, at Birtchy's Joint (567 Conklin Road, Conklin) Come join us, have a drink and share a memory of Neil.
