Phyllis Diane Burkhart

Phyllis Diane Burkhart, 74, of Binghamton, New York passed away Monday, March 10, 2025 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children, Wayne Uburti, Paul (Jennifer) Uberti, Wendy (Rob) Stone, Tammy Stone, and Sharlene (William) Ruby  ; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Sharon, Cathy, and Brian; and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents Ernest and Elaine Hammond; Daughter-in-law Lisa, siblings Billy, Ernest “Skip”, Vicky.

Phyllis was an avid puzzler and played computer games on the website Pogo.com. She loved Scooby Doo so much her car was decked out with things related to that, she also was a big fan of Elvis Presley and Adele, playing them in the car when she was on the road. She was a strict mother and grandmother, though it helped shape her family into who they are today, and they appreciate that about her. She had a firecracker personality, you never knew what would come out of her mouth, but it could make one laugh.

Services will be Friday, March 14, 2025 at 12:00 pm at E. H. Parsons Funeral Home. Friends may come to call from 10:00 to noon prior to the service. Burial will follow at Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.
