Sheffield, Robert P.

Binghamton: Robert P. Sheffield died on April 24, 2011 at Good Shepherd Fairview Home, Binghamton, NY. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary White Sheffield in 1984. He attended Binghamton public schools and Triple Cities College of Syracuse University class of 1950. He was a charter member and early president of the local Naturalists Club. After graduating with a BA degree, he worked as a shipping clerk at the Vulcan Corp Wood Heel Division for two years. In 1952, he went to the Credit Bureau of the Triple Cities, Inc. as a collector and was manager of that company from 1958 to 1984 when he retired. At various times, he was a hobby beekeeper, nature photographer, natural history buff and builder of boats for rowing, paddling and sailing. There will be no calling hours or funeral services.
