Binghamton New York : Rosa Eladia Mercado - Toro, 38, of Binghamton New York, passed away suddenly Thursday, March 15, 2012. Born February 25, 1974 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, predeceased by her sister Betsy Mercado. Rosa grew up in Brooklyn, NY moved to Binghamton in 2001with her family. Shortly there after she was employed  by Source Corp. where she impacted the lives of many co-workers and cemented strong friendships and bonds with most she came into contact with. Rosa was known as  a strong willed, up beat, take charge kind of person with a flare for life and a wonderful mother with a big heart and a nack for keeping all of  the family together. Rosa Mercado is survived by her mother Elizabeth Alejandro, father Confesor Mercado her children Betsy Angela Toro , Anthony Raphael Toro Jr., Richard Nelson-Robert Toro, Marta Demaya Wolinski , sisters Elizabeth Mercado-Montanez , Alexaida Mercado, Marta Iris Mercado, her brother Nelson Javier Mercado, husband Anthony Raphael Toro Sr., companion Joseph Lambert  15 Nieces and Nephews, 6 grand nieces and nephew, 3 god-children  2 aunts 2 uncles respectively. we apologize for not being able  to post everyone due to the enormous size of the family. Rosa Mercado Daughter, sister, mother, nice, cousin, friend.bozo although your time with us all was short you have blessed us all with a life time of memories YOU WILL TRULY BE MISSED !!!

Family and friends are invited to call at the Ernest H. Parsons Funeral Home 71 Main Street Binghamton Tuesday Evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 12:00 noon when a funeral service will be offered.
