Ruth S. Groh, 91, formerly of Binghamton, NY, died Thursday February 12th, 2015 at the Fall River Jewish Home, Fall River, MA. Born July 14, 1923 in Exeter, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Minnie (Mark) and Harry Sicherman, and loving wife of Robert H. Groh.
Ruth lived in Binghamton for many years with her husband Robert whom she married on December 14, 1952 in Wilkes Barre, PA., and her children.
She attended the Wyoming Seminary and East Stroudsburg State Teachers College and graduated from Penn State University. Ruth worked as a teacher for school districts in Atlantic City, Philadelphia, and Binghamton. She was a member of Beth David Synagogue, and the JCC Friendship Club.
Surviving Ruth are her husband Robert H. Groh, Fall River, MA, her daughters Ellen Fischer, Irvine, CA, and Sharon Groh-Mintz, Providence, RI. Ruth is also survived by her three grandchildren; Abigail Romirowsky, Orli Mintz, and Michael Mintz.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday February 15th, 2015 at 2:30 PM at Beth David Synagogue, 39 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, NY 13905. Internment will follow at Beth David Cemetery, Conklin, NY.
