Werner J. Loeffler, 73 of Binghamton, passed away Saturday February 23, at United Health Services Wilson Hospital.
Born July 4, 1939 in Germany, the son of the late Eugen and Albertina (Klink) Loeffler.
Werner retired from Anitec Inc. after more than forty years of service working as a Lab Technician. After his retirement Werner served as a Substitute Teacher at B.O.C.E.S.. Werner loved this opportunity truly enjoying the chance to work with children. His love of family and sports also made him his children’s and grandchildren’ s biggest sport fans watching every soccer and baseball game, every chance he could. He also loved to garden and both he and Ute loved being foster parents. He was a member of Lutheran Redeemer Church of Binghamton.
Surviving Werner are his loving wife of fifty three years, Ute (Hohl) Loffler , of Binghamton, his daughters; Chris (Greg) Michaelson, Syracuse, NY, Pat (Rich) Watson, Binghamton, NY, Karen (Eldon) McEachern, of Hawaii, Kim Loeffler, Vestal, NY, Michelle Loeffler, Binghamton NY, his son: James Loeffler of PA. and Mark Loeffler, of Binghamton, his six grandchildren: Tyler, Emily, Bryan, Ian, Sara and Kyle as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to call Thursday Evening February 28, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Ernest H. Parsons Funeral Home 71 Main Street Binghamton . A Funeral Service will be celebrated Friday March 1st at 11:00 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church 72 Main Street, Binghamton. Internment will be at the convenience of the family.
