Binghamton, William (Bill) Heald, loving husband, father, and grandfather, went peacefully to be with the Lord at Good Shepherd Fairview Home on Monday, May 28, 2012. Bill was predeceased by his wife of 65 years and love of his life Mary L.  Heald (Kent).  He is survived by his daughter Suzy Kay (Joel) Malagari (Maryland), and son William Kent (Carolyn) (Massachusetts),  five grandchildren, Tiffany, Ryan, and Damian Malagari, and William and Bridget Heald, sister-in-law Gertrude Kent, and two nieces and several nephews.  Bill was born on June 20, 1918, in Moravia, N.Y.   He lived in Binghamton most of his life, and served as Deputy Comptroller of Broome County for many years, retiring in 1985.  He was fortunate to be able to spend the next 18 years with his wife, enjoying traveling, golfing, and playing bridge.  He and Mary moved to the Good Shepherd Fairview Home in 1998, and became heavily involved in many activities there, including various trips, Club 80, and the This and That Shoppe.  They were particularly fond of anything related to the casinos.  Bill was a long-time member of Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church, and was the Treasurer for many years.  He was also a lifetime member of Binghamton Lodge #177, as well as the Order of the Eastern Star.  The family would like to extend their gratitude to all of the staff at Good Shepherd, particularly the dedicated nursing staff of Cameo Court for all of their care and support over the past years.  In addition, special thanks to forever friends Patty Yeager, Marianne Sivak and Don De’Angelo, just for being there.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in memory of Bill to the Good Shepherd Living Care Fund.  A memorial service will be held at Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church, 44 Main Street, Binghamton, on Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 11:00 am.  Friends and family may call at 10:00 am.   Burial will be private.  We love you daddy and will miss you-now go and dance with Mom!   Arrangements are with the Ernest H.
