Bonnie Bogdasarian, 75, passed away on December 14, 2022. She is survived by her son, Peter Bogdasarian and his wife, Valerie Mirko, of Washington DC and her daughter Laura Jansen and her husband Michael, of Glen Rock, Pa. Bonnie was born in NYC and attended Cornell University before serving in the Peace Corps in Columbia. She returned to New York City where she spent the early part of her career as a nurse epidemiologist at Columbia Presbyterian. She was a valued member of the team and spent time educating nurses and residents in addition to following up with patients and their attending physicians. Her knowledge was such that it allowed her to spontaneously provide facts and details about infectious diseases to round out light dinner conversation. After marrying and taking time off to raise and educate her children, she spent time in retail and fitness before settling into her passion of embroidery and fiber arts. She attended a master class in Japan, where she was complimented for her technique and skill. Such accolades were uncommon for a non-Japanese artist to receive. Bonnie exemplified the phrase 'voracious reader' by consuming books with lawnmower-like efficiency. She was particularly fond of civil war history, fantasy and crime novels but would read anything left within reach. This made her impossible to stop in Trivial Pursuit, especially once she took up football as a passion (Go Raiders!) and sports could no longer be relied upon as a lifeline. Services will be reserved for family.
